YOGA
RESTORATIVE MUKTI YOGA
In the restorative Mukti Yoga class, we begin with mantras to help relax the mind which is followed by gentle asanas based on an Integral Yoga Flow. We work with pranayama (yogic breathing) throughout to further enhance the relaxation of the mind and body. We end the class with a half hour, lying down guided meditation. You leave feeling like you spent the day at the spa.
MYOFASCIAL YIN YOGA
Myofascial Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that targets the connective tissues, such as the fascia, ligaments, and tendons, with the aim of improving flexibility and joint mobility.
In this practice, passive postures are held for an extended period of time, typically three to five minutes, allowing for a deep release in the body's fascial network. The emphasis is on relaxation and surrendering into the poses, as opposed to actively engaging the muscles. Myofascial Yin Yoga often incorporates the use of props, such as bolsters, blocks, and blankets, to support the body in the postures, making it accessible to practitioners of all levels. This style of yoga is believed to not only enhance physical flexibility, but also to promote a sense of calm, balance, and mindful awareness.
BABAJI'S KRIYA HATHA YOGA
Babaji's Kriya Hatha Yoga includes "asanas", physical postures of relaxation, "bandahs", muscular locks, and "mudras", psycho-physical gestures, all bringing about greater health, peace and the awakening of the principal energy channels, "the nadis", and centers, the "chakras". Babaji has selected a particularly effective series of 18 postures, which are taught in stages and in pairs.
